Interview with Alice from Alicewphotography
Tell us a bit about yourself
My name is Alice W. and I live near Rochester, NY with my husband Joshua {aka StJoshua on Etsy} and our 4 year old Cairn terrier, Renoir. I offer a wide variety of handmade goods as well as vintage finds. I am currently focusing a lot of time on photography and have recently opened a new Etsy shop devoted specifically to this.
What makes you became an artist?
I have always loved art and being creative ever since I was a young child. I studied art in college {but majored in Psychology}. After graduating, I started selling my work online and then decided to start my own website. I have worked full-time on my artistic career for the past 3 years.
When did you start selling at ETSY?
Early 2007
What is your favourite product from your shop and why?
Right now, my favorite print from my photography shop is called “Love is Patient.” I love this photo because of the delicate look of the rose along with the tones and textures.
How do you promote your work?
Mainly through my blog {http://alicew.typepad.com}. I have also had work featured in Somerset Life and other publications. I have been blessed to have one of my shops as the Featured Seller on Etsy previously and recently had the opportunity to write an article for Etsy’s blog.
